Elliot's First Book

We were sitting at the table coloring yesterday afternoon, when Ellie decided she wanted to create her first book. She literally glued together various pages she had been coloring over the past few day that were filled with collages and hand drawings. As she was reading me the book, I jotted down the words. She was able to write some of the words herself on the pages. Here goes:

Elliot and Mom's Trip

First they saw a skier and a cat.
Then they couldn't find a dog because there were so many hats that it was too, too dark.
There was a family that was walking in the water with some little fish.
There were a whole bunch of people and they liked fruit.
Then there were two signs and we stopped.

Although it seems really random, she based it on the inital pages she had already created such as a kitty card and a postcard with a skier she cut apart and glued onto some paper, and a few Dr. Suess cut-out hats from school. She also hand drew her own people, beach and STOP sign. This is definitely one of those things we will keep forever!
